Job Description: Security Guard – Camp Baird

Your Role

In this full-time position, you will actively safeguard Camp Baird and its perimeter. You will rotate between Entry Point Security Guard and Patrol Guard responsibilities, ensuring the safety of personnel and property. Moreover, you must hold or be eligible to obtain a Baseline AGSVA security clearance, sponsored by Serco if needed.

Key Responsibilities

While this is a talent pool listing, the role is expected to include the following duties:

As an Entry Point Security Guard, you will:

• Check IDs and track personnel compliance at entry points.
• Issue and manage visitor passes, ensuring all visitors complete the induction process.
• Monitor access points and act as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activities.
• Report suspicious behavior promptly and follow established protocols.

As a Security Patrol Guard, you will:

• Conduct routine patrols to detect security risks or signs of intrusion.
• Respond quickly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Inspect perimeter fencing and ensure all buildings are secure.
• Respect client values and uphold their cultural standards.

What We’re Looking For

We are searching for professionals who bring both skill and integrity to the role.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Active or eligible AGSVA Baseline security clearance.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Certificate II in Security Operations and a valid Australian security license.
• Calm under pressure, with the ability to follow instructions and respond in emergencies.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Security License Functions:

• Crowd Controller
• Security Officer (Unarmed)
• Security Officer (Monitoring) (if endorsed on license)
